The need: Improve accessibility of services to clients and increase operational efficiencies by constructing a new building on the Allegan County main campus.

The solution: A new 60,000-square-foot facility on the Dumont Lake Campus that houses both the Allegan County Family Independence Agency (FIA) and Public Health Department.

Fitting for its rural setting, the Prairie School, one of the most famous architectural movements in American history, was clearly influential in the design of this stunning building. Raised elevations and glass curtain walls provide spectacular four-season views of lovely, picturesque Dumont Lake and the surrounding woods, which benefit clients as well as employees. Features include an environment that is child friendly as well as barrier free; bright, modern examining rooms; ample meeting space; and a large parking area adjacent to the facility.
