Oceana County Medical Care Facility | Hart, MI

The need: Expand the scope of care available to patients and create office and storage space.

The solution: A major expansion and renovation of the existing building, including a new outpatient and inpatient physical therapy space, a new 18-bed Alzheimer's wing with a separate entrance, expansion of the administration and shipping/receiving areas, and miscellaneous aesthetic renovations throughout.

Integrating "Greenhouse" design principles, a unique architecture and recreational space in the Alzheimer's wing is designed to provide privacy while encouraging interaction among patients to create a sense of community, purpose and meaning. Employees benefit from aesthetic improvements and expansions in food service areas and offices, as well as larger storage areas.
